Lee Klemens

Picture
Starting with piano and violin in second grade, Lee will forever give thanks to his parents and the Johnstown (Penn.) College of Music for supporting the gift of music. The beach movies of the ’60s made playing guitar look so fun that he left the violin behind in favor of a Les Paul. Adding bass in high school, he performed with stage and rock bands, and toured in college. Medical practice moved music to the background until the ’80s when Lee began performing with a physician-led Dixieland band on the upright bass. Since moving to Green Bay in 1997, he has played Upright bass with the Civic Symphony of Green Bay, and has done freelance work regionally on guitar, percussion, electric and upright bass. Dr. Klemens was instrumental in help establishing the first Hospitalist program in Wisconsin, has been active in many different roles with healthcare in Green Bay, and currently is working with Prevea/HSHS Eastern Wisconsin.
