Prior to becoming an anesthesiologist, John completed a Music major at University of Michigan and spent a number of years working as a professional violinist, performing in regional symphony orchestras, opera productions, stage shows, and appearing in many solo recitals. Time abroad in China sparked a new interest in medicine, which led to a return to University of Michigan for medical training. Now he happily performs anesthesia for HSHS patients but loves any chance to get back to sharing music on the violin. Married to a Green Bay native, he is doing his best to raise their six children as future Packer fans.
