Prior to becoming an anesthesiologist, John completed a Music major at University of Michigan, and spent over ten years working as a professional violinist, performing with regional symphony orchestras, opera productions, stage shows, and appearing in many solo recitals. Time abroad in China sparked an unexpected interest in medicine, which led to a return to University of Michigan for medical school and residency. Now he happily performs anesthesia in ORs for HSHS patients. Married to a Green Bay native, he is doing his best to raise their six children as future Packer fans.
