Franz Igler |
Dr. Igler played violin at an early age, took piano lessons and later sang in various choirs. In the 1960s, he played guitar and sang in a “garage band” before getting serious about his academic pursuits. Receiving his MD and PhD degrees from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1980, he completed his anesthesiology residency in 1983 with special interest in Pain Medicine and Cardiac Anesthesiology. As his three children took lessons, Dr. Igler redeveloped an interest in piano. Now an empty nester and retired, he enjoys more time to pursue his interest in the endless and fascinating forms of music, all of which he finds to be delightful, challenging and inspiring.
