In Portland, Ore., for medical school, Danae pursued her residency in Ob-Gyn at University of Hawaii and a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. In addition to her fulltime practice, Dr. Steele is married, has five adult children, 14 grandchildren . . . and a wonderful, adopted 9-year-old to keep her busy! When not working, Danae is frequently outside, training and competing with her dogs in hunting and agility competitions, and hiking or biking. She’s delighted to join DIR’s choir again this year.
